There are a lot of reasons I love Christmas, but one of them is giving gifts. I love the process of thinking about the person, who they are, what they love, what they do, where they are going, things they've told me they like and then finding something that perfectly fits their personality and lifestyle.
I start Christmas shopping way in advance. All year long I make a list of gifts for people when I see things that make me think of the people on my list.
So, yes I've got my Christmas shopping done already. Now I'm just patiently waiting for all the deals to hit on Friday and this weekend.
I realize not everyone enjoys the process of selecting a gift, so the good news for you is that I’ve already done a lot of the work for you and have put together some gift guides to inspire you to find the perfect gifts early this year.
And by the way, I think early is before December 15th, so you can relax, enjoy and be present during the holiday season.
I've pulled together a gift guide for the ladies, guys, mommas with babies under 2 and my absolute favorite, a stocking stuffer list.
Here's the guys guide:
By now, most everyone has a Yeti or similar type of mug. If they don’t have one that’s a great gift. But if they do have a Yeti, the accessories can be really useful. A spill-proof lid, a handle to make it easier to carry when your hands are full and metal straws for cold drinks. We’ve got the lids and they’ve been a lifesaver.
Last week, Annie F. Downs interviewed Mark Lee from Third Day on her podcast. First off, I have loved Third Day for years and Annie’s That Sounds Fun podcast is my absolute favorite. But they talked about Mark’s new book, Hurt Road, and I think it would be a great gift for any guy.
I personally love slippers, and about this time every year, I get a new pair. A couple years ago I bought my husband a pair and he wears them all the time. He loves them so much he got his dad a pair and he loves them. So it’s safe to say this is a great gift for men. The key is to make sure they have a hard sole so they can go outside in them.
Whether the guy you are shopping for goes to the gym regularly or has New Year’s resolution to get back in the gym, they should be walking in in style. It’s time to ditch the old college gym bag (cough, cough my husband) and get a new (and fresh smelling) bag.
I came across these and thought of my photographer friends. They are a little masculine in shape and material and would work in an office as bookends (which they are) or paper weights. I just think they are fun and a great way to bring personality to your shelves or office!
Back to the gym stuff, new wireless headphones for the gym are always a good gift. And I love the rubber ring idea for when guys are lifting weights. My wedding rings HURT when I’m lifting and I would love to one of these silicone rings for myself when I’m lifting. Leave the wedding rings at home so you don’t have to leave them in your gym bag.
Last but not least, all-in-one pocket knives are a must. Most guys have knives, but do they have one on their keys? They are oh so handy.

If you don't see anything that would be perfect for that tough person on your list, shoot me an email with a description of the person and I’d be happy to send you any additional ideas I have (I have WAYY to many to share on the blog!).
